Senior UVM ROTC cadets Christian Ruf and Bradley Patnaude finished among the nation's top at the Army Physical Fitness Test.
Ruf posted the fastest time among all cadets with an 11:07 in the two-mile run, according to a news release from University Communications.
UVM ROTC is the region's host school and includes cadets from Champlain College, Plattsburgh State, Saint Michael's College, Middlebury College, Castleton State and Johnson State, Jon Reidel from University Communications said.
Patnaude, a senior at Champlain College, posted the top overall score among 500 cadets by completing 99 push-ups and 95 sit-ups within two- minute time periods, along with his two-mile time of 11:37.
